How I felt...
Tonight's WOD (Workout Of the Day) was TOUGH!! I can't remember the last time I was pushed that hard or felt like puking as much as I did tonight. At times I was dizzy, other times focused, other times I wanted to give up. I really hate whining, but those damn voices in my head kept telling me to give up. My body hurt and I was pushing it. I really need to shed some extra pounds so it'll be easier. I feel like I could have done better, but know that next time I will.
So how did I do?
Tonight was TOUGH! Did I already say that? Don't get me wrong, I'll be back, I think CrossFit is great, but this was a test and a good gauge of where improvements can be made, for myself.
The goal was to do 100 sit ups, 100 push ups, 100 chin ups and 100 burpees. Can't do them all at once? Don't worry, you can break them up with a 100 m run. (oh yeah, and did we tell you that what you thought was 200 m the last few times, was only 100 m? Thanks!)
I must love running...I'd do 15 sit ups and run 100 m, 20 chin ups and run 100 m, 10 burpees and run 100 m, 10 push ups and run 100 m....and so on. Well...maybe I should have stuck to some sort of plan. I came out of that by completing the following:
- 100 chin ups
- 65 sit ups
- 50 push ups
- 40 burpees
- BONUS of 30 squats to avoid puking my guts out (the burpees made me dizzy
In addition, I'm also working on my diet and gearing up for the Paleo challenge. I've been cutting out sugars, breads and juices. I've added a new tab on this page called "Helpful Resources" where I'll list helpful websites that are referred to me. I hope this helps!
Next WOD is Thursday, hopefully my crabby characteristics are gone by then...
way to go sammy :) those chipper wods are really tough, burpees sucked big time for me when i first started, now they are fun, thats right burpees fun? Yes, it is possible :) Keep pushing, you can do it!
